More than 800 sisters will attend in 2009
It’s time once again for Phi Sigma Sigma’s Leadership Conferences, when more than 800 sisters from across North America will gather to explore proven ways to advance our sorority’s mission and vision within their chapters and everyday lives.
Student leaders from as many as 107 collegiate chapters will be attending these fun-filled sisterhood and training events in January and February.
The conferences – which are also attended by chapter advisors, alumnae volunteers and Headquarters staff – illustrate Phi Sigma Sigma’s continuing commitment to strengthening our sorority by offering even more personal-development opportunities to sisters of every age.
Four years… and growing
Since Leadership Conferences were first launched in 2006, Phi Sigma Sigma has welcomed more than 2,500 chapter leaders to these events.
The conferences feature interactive, thought-provoking and high-quality training on chapter operations, as well as an invitation to participate in our groundbreaking ACHIEVE values-based institute offering personal-development and leadership programming – one of the best of its kind among Greek organizations.
Of course, there is certainly more to these conferences than work!
One of the weekend’s highlights is a special dinner and entertaining live auction benefiting our own Phi Sigma Sigma Foundation, which supports numerous causes, including the U.S. Transplant Games, National Kidney Foundation and Kidney Foundation of Canada, as well as annual educational grants and scholarships for our most promising young sisters.
Sisters also have the chance to mix and mingle with other women from their area, form lasting friendships with other chapters, and meet our extraordinarily committed sorority leaders and staff, who devote countless hours of service to our sisterhood’s success.
