Generous donors to special fundraising campaign show their Phi Sigma Sigma pride
More than 250 sisters recently participated in what has now become an annual tradition, the Phi Sigma Sigma Foundation’s $19.13 Founders’ Day Campaign.
This award-winning initiative was first developed in 2007 as a way to honor the extraordinary vision and commitment of the 10 women who founded our cherished organization – impacting our lives, our communities and even our world.
We are so grateful for our sisters’ support of this special fundraising initiative, which this year raised nearly $19,000 dollars, bringing the two-year total for the Founders’ Day Campaign to almost $40,000!
Through the Founders’ Day Campaign, sisters are invited to give $19.13 or more (usually variations of our founding year) as a one-time gift or year-long pledge. Donors then join our Founders’ Day “honor roll.”
Some amazing sisters – such as Mary Papamarkou (Gamma Nu ’90, Rutgers University – New Brunswick) – donated as much as $1,913!
The success of Foundation’s $19.13 campaign, which benefits our ACHIEVE leadership program and supports educational grants for undergraduate and graduate students, is yet another sign that Phi Sigma Sigma is a premier sorority for the new millennium that we can all be proud of.
Our Founders shared a deep commitment to helping women of all backgrounds, faiths and cultures achieve more in their lives through a strong, vibrant sisterhood dedicated to excellence, honor and service.
Through the generosity of our Founders’ Day donors, the Phi Sigma Sigma Foundation is able to help realize their dreams.
We hope all sisters will consider joining our honor roll for 2009!
