Columbus CW Star Proudly Represents Phi Sigma Sigma
Kaitlin Busch (Iota Omicron
Chapter at Capital University) represents more than Phi Sigma Sigma, but
all of Columbus, OH as the new CW Star! In Oct. 2011, after becoming
one of the top ten finalists, Kaitlin became the face of the local CW
Columbus station. Her position entails being the local correspondent
for the morning show, as well as a live sponsor of OXYwater and JBentley
Salon and Spa.
Kaitlin is a senior at Capital University double majoring in Electronic
Media and Public Relations. Her dream is to work in broadcasting,
specifically within the entertainment industry. At Capital University,
she is involved with the campus TV station, Skyline Columbus, the campus
radio station, WXCU, and Phi Sigma Sigma.
Prior to Phi Sigma Sigma, Kaitlin joined Chi Theta Pi, a local sorority
at Capital University. While holding the position of president, she led
the local through the process of affiliating with Phi Sigma Sigma.
Kaitlin became a founding sister of the Iota Omicron Chapter, where she
now serves as Archon. When asked what she loves most about Phi Sigma
Sigma she said, “Everything! I love the people within Phi Sigma Sigma.
The traditions within Chi Theta Pi and Phi Sigma Sigma are so similar; I
think it’s why I love it so much!” Kaitlin strives to follow the core
values of Phi Sigma Sigma throughout her everyday life. She said, “The
core values are great principles to build your life around.”
According to CWcolumbus.com, the CW star was born in 2006 because the
station realized it needed a face to launch the brand. Each CW star
needs to be a passionate and energetic TV personality that is always
camera ready. Following graduation in May, Kaitlin will continue on
with CW until Jan. 2013. She describes herself as someone who knows
what she wants and will stop at nothing to achieve her dreams. Phi
Sigma Sigma is proud to have a great leader representing it not only on
Capital University’s campus, but also as a local TV star.
