How To Apply for Scholarships and Grants
The Phi Sigma Sigma Foundation offers scholarships and grants annually to deserving sisters (both alumnae and collegians). For the 2011-2012 academic year, the scholarship/grant awards ranged from $250 to $4,250.
Our online scholarship application and instructions are ready for the 2012-2013 academic year.
There is now a Scholarship Recommendation Form for Advisors
The Advisor Scholarship Recommendation Form can be accessed here.
The 2012-2013 Scholarship/Educational Grant Application is Electronic
The application may be accessed here. You will be asked to log-in to the sisters only section of the website. If you have not logged in before, here is how it is done:
How to log onto Phi Sig's secure website:*
- Go to www.phisigmasigma.org and click on login at the top right.
- Type in your username. This is your first name and last name spelled out fully, without any spaces. Example: janedoe (can be upper- or lowercase).
- Type in your password. This is your first and last initial, along with the month and date of your birthday, represented as two-digit numbers. Do not use spaces. Example: jr0103 (for a Jan 3rd birthday). Tip: Change your password once you log on the first time.
- Hit "sign on", then hover over "Collegians" or "Alumnae" in the top menu section. For Collegians under "Individual Functions" and for Alumnae under "Get Involved" you will find the "Scholarship Application". Also, when you have time, start exploring! You can update your profile, reconnect with sisters and learn the latest Phi Sig news.
*Important: These instructions apply only to sisters who a) have not previously logged on or b) were initiated before January 2006. Need help? Write us at imis@phisigmasigma.org
The application will populate itself with information about you that is currently available in the Fraternity database. However, throughout the application you are provided the opportunity to add/update your information.
You are also able to return to your application and make changes up until the final deadline. That means you may return to the application as often as you need to before you are ready to submit. In addition, you are able to submit your application and later upload forms like your Scholarship Recommendation or other documents as long as they are uploaded by the application deadline.
The Foundation Will Automatically Consider Your Application For Any Scholarship You May Qualify For.
Information regarding available educational grants, scholarships, and Chapter Educational Funds may be found here. Applicants no longer need to specify which scholarships they are applying for. All applications will be screened for eligibility for all scholarships.
Take care to follow all directions and comply with all requirements.
In order for your application to be considered, all of the required items must be submitted by April, 10, 2012. Late materials will not be considered, and extensions will not be granted. To assist you, use the Scholarship and Grant Application Check List.
