On behalf of the women of Phi Sigma Sigma we would like to say how excited are to meet and get to know all of you wonderful ladies. Phi Sigma Sigma prides ourselves on our diversity and our unique bond we have with each other.

Phi Sigma Sigma was founded at Hunters College in New York, New York on November 26,1913.  Our Founders aimed to establish a sorority in which a membership was not based on one's social status, religious affiliation, or personal background.  Open membership to all women of character regardless of their background.  On November 26, 1913 the first nonsectarian sorority was born.  Collegiate and Alumnae members around the world to this day live by our Founder's inspiration and Phi Sigma Sigma's Core Values: lifelong learning, inclusiveness, and leadership through service. Phi Sigma Sigma’s official philanthropy is the Phi Sigma Sigma Foundation, which is a non-profit organization which in compasses the National Kidney Foundation.

When it comes to our sisterhood here at the University of West Florida the spontaneous moments are the most memorable, whether it be sisterhood retreats, sisterhood events, or a night of reflections, we always find time at the end of the day for each other.  Our sisterhood is based on years of tradition.  Each and every sister adds diversity to our chapter, we may come from various backgrounds, but we will always share the bond that is Phi Sigma Sigma. We live by our motto “Once a Phi Sigma Sigma, Always a Phi Sigma Sigma.”

We are so excited that you are considering going Greek! And we hope one day to call you our sister! And always remember CΦllΣgΣ Is definitely not cΦmplΣtΣ unless you GΦ GrΣΣk! ΦΣΣ.

See you soon,

Chelsea Murray
